Worst Chinese food I've ever had. Crab Rangoon had no crab at all! I'm not even kidding about it. Food didn't even look appetizing.

Worst Chinese Food I have ever had by far. Go somewhere else and save yourself the disappointment.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We ordered Mongolian beef and the beef was white. The sauce had absolutely no flavor, and it was 75% onion. Absolutely disgusting. We ask the guy to take it back because I didn't want it on my plate (didn't ask him to take it off my bill) and they refused to take it off my table. They handed it to my boyfriend across the table from me, and said "he'll eat it, he already ate all of his food." What the heck!? Also, our server was so rude! One word answers for everything. We asked for an extra side of white rice and they failed to tell us that they ALREADY bring out a whole bowl of white rice so they charged us extra for that. ANOTHER THING- they ALREADY add an 18% gratuity to the bill!!! Absolutely ridiculous. You have no other choice but to tip the awful rude people who don't care about customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

1 STAR IS TOO MANY. I don't write reviews normally but it is my duty as a human being to warn you about this place! When we first walked in we noticed that the place was pretty empty, thinking we beat the dinner rush. My wife and I were happy however, we would soon find out the true reason this place was empty. The staff was rude and short with us, the food was flavorless and "bla". When we asked if we could upgrade our white rice they said it could not be done and we would have to just buy both fried and white rice, giving me the impression it would be included in the dish, instead it was old rice served in a separate dish. we both ordered Mongolian beef and were granted with a plate of onions and peppers with a few strips of mystery meat which was in unappetizing to say the least. My wife asked if they could send her food back and they replied "you still have to pay for it" in shock I replied that is fine can you take the plate back please, he handed my the plate and told me to eat it and refused to take the plate away. After sitting awkwardly and waiting for the bill to finally come, we noticed that the tip was already added on. We just paid our bill and left before it could get any worse

Do not be fooled by their warm atmosphere, customer service and the 'authentic' feel of the restaurant. The prices for the food are slightly over priced but it isn't significant. Shambolic. Take it from a native. Dynasty Chinese Restaurant just happened to be one of those that fell behind. Sweet and sour pork is my all time favorite. Dynasty Restaurant failed to deliver a dish of acceptable level for me. The pork was not crunchy, sauce had no flavor and the pork was bitter. The bitterness of the pork was because of the old oil used to fry the pork. As for the walnut shrimp, let's not even go there. All of the dishes that we received were either just slightly warm or cold. Long story short, avoid and worthy of a refund!

This is my first bad review, but this place was horrible! The food looked and tasted disgusting. Seriously, select another restaurant. Do not eat here.

  • Marge R.

My husband and I went there while on a vacation. The egg blossom soup was absolutely tasteless. The sesame beef my husband had was as tough as shoe leather and he could barely cut it. When he told the waitress she said "that is why I suggested you order something else" which was a complete lie, as if she had he would have ordered something else. I had a vegetable plate with white sauce which was just okay. There are many excellent places to eat in the Dells, so avoid going to this place.

Amazing food! Heavenly chicken is the best! Love love love

    (5)
  • David S.

The food was very oily and the chicken was white and with no flavor. And I asked for a Pepsi 2 times and they both taste more like water

  • Ethan B.

Never come to this restaurant. They don't even know how to respect their customers, nor cooking any food that can be eaten! I wish there was a ZERO start rating that I could rank for this F* restaurant.

    (1)
  • Prachya T.

TOURISTS BEWARE. I wish I can give this place negative stars. It is not worth the time and money. Go to mcDonalds or Taco Bell instead for a quick meal to keep you alive until you leave this hell called Wisconsin Dells.

  • Kyle B.

Listen to the reviews! Just spent over $30 on what would not even pass for dog food...seriously

    (1)
  • Ha Le P.

The food here is just awful. Bland, undercooked, nothing "authentic," and dried chicken. STAY AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

  • Luis M.

Worst rat hole to eat if you going to wisconsin dells 60 bucks for a family of 5 at buffet time and food selection is the worst Chinese food I ever try never go to this place if you want your vacation be a total disappointment.

  • Mark P.

OMG! Horrible! I don't even write reviews but for this dump I have to. Waiter was an idiot and very quiet you couldn't even hear what he was saying. Food made me wanna throw up..... hold on I need to barf right now..... Ok I'm back thank you. The service is terrible and definitely not worth the money. I've seen this place there for years and figured I gotta give it a try. Biggest mistake I've ever made! Never ever ever again!

    (1)
  • Eliot S.

I never write reviews. I had to for this place. This was by far the worst Chinese food carryout I've ever had in my life. Even my fortune cookie was shattered into about 50 pieces even before I opened the package.

  • Matt Z.

Will never come back. At the start of the meal they delivered sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard. After a few seconds my daughter and I noticed an awful smell. Turns out the"mustard" smelled like horribly rotten eggs. The manager happened to be standing there and I told him something isn't right. He smelled the mustard, made a terrible face and took it away. Never brought fresh. We then fit the sizzling rice soup... With no sizzling rice. The egg rolls were good.. Crisp with basically cabbage only filling but ok. The egg foo young was above average as you could tell it was made fresh in the restaurant. My daughter's S&S chicken was the average heavily breaded fried pieces of chicken breast. If the meal didn't start so bad we would consider trying again but no going back for us

Tourists beware! Went here expecting a 3 star Chinese Restaurant to at least have a decent amount of food for their $9.99 lunch buffet. When we arrived we observed two small tables of food- one of which was their "desert table", more like pudding and jello table. The other table was orange chicken, chicken nuggets, crab rangoons, egg rolls, and fried rice. Not worth $9.99/person to eat here, let alone any other Asian buffet will charge around the same price and include these items (and fresher) as less than a fraction of the food they have unlike this place.

    (1)
  • Rachel T.

Never ever eat food at this restaurant. I seriously doubt if the chef even knows how to cook as the food was really bad. We ordered Singapore noodles with no meat, Kung pao chicken and fried rice and each one of them was not only ugly looking but tasteless. I wish there was a zero star rating that I could give to this restaurant.

    (1)
  • Kao V.

Is this the only Chinese restaurant in the Dells area? Yikes. We ordered around 2 in the afternoon. The food smelled fantastic and piping hot. We got to our room and opened the items. They looked like it had been sitting on a hot plate all day. I bet it's the leftovers from their buffet. Who takes less than 10 minutes to make 10 crab rangoons, pork fried rice, beef with broccoli, and sesame chicken right? Damn. Never eating here again. I miss the Chinese Restaurant on Broadway. The food we got were disgusting.

Yelp or Yak. Worst chinese food we have ever had....and we LOVE chinese. We were very hungry and enticed by the sign that said "#1 chinese buffet" - I suspect it may be only one in area. We had a good laugh and husband called it "die-NASTY" Chinese food. I was amused by the staffs' tshirts that say "Eat more Chinese" ...we needed the encouragement there. The buffet food looked old and was very bland. Soup was luke warm at best. We thought for safety we should stick with rice and noodles after our first trip up. I was most excited about my fortune cookie message- kind of summed it up (included picture). We also noticed a older chinese man bring his entire meal inside with him (in nice little plates and bowls). VERY smart man.

Got delivery, the prices were reasonable and the delivery was really fast. The best part was the hot and sour soup, it was suuuuper spicy and so delicious!! We got shrimp lo mein, sesame chicken, crispy tofu, family tofu, curry chicken, crab poppers (rangoons) and steamed dumplings. Everything was amazing except the shrimp lo mein, which oddly had no flavor. But the crab poppers were the best! All in all great food and big portions.

This place looks like an old comedy bar or disco house converted to a chinese resturant.. the ambiance turned out ok but overall : We had high expectations but left dissapointed. Buffet lunch was overpriced for such a limited selection. Nothing exceptional about the food.. just average at best. The fruits they served for dessert didnt look fresh at all, and the egg drop soup was bland. I did like their egg fulong though. We have gone to a lot of Chinese resturants before, and Im sorry to say that this one is on our bottom 3. Im usually easy to please .. but after our experience, we dont believe were eating there again. - just an honest opinion-

I love Chinese food. I'm also not super picky, and will usually eat subpar food just to have something to eat. But let me tell you, their General Tso's chicken was the worst thing I have ever ordered. As soon as I got back to my hotel and tried it, I threw it out. The chicken meat was not great quality, but the breading was disgusting and the sauce was bad and barely drizzled on. Also, this may have just been a coincidence but after I gave them my cell phone number when I ordered, I received spam iMessages about Louis Vuitton bags. They say they don't share phone numbers with anyone, but I am doubtful.

Wasn't the Best Chinese food but it was OK I have try better in my Chicago China town neighborhood. My fried rice needed a little more flavor and color . 3 stars is for the fried rice only the other foods 1 or 2 stars .

    (3)
  • C M.

I'm giving the place 2 stars only because the service was nice and the food seemed fresh. However, the taste was very bland. While I appreciated the fact the sauces seemed less fatty there just wasn't enough taste. My kids are it though without question. I will not be going back.

    (2)
  • Krazian N.

not bad, went here last night with a few friends, nice services, good food. will eat here again when I'm around.

  • Arunkumar S.

One of the worst Chinese food I have ever had, I am a big time Chinese eater, I was initially skeptical by looking at the bad reviews, but there were few reviews off late claiming that this is one of the best, I gave a shot, I seriously doubt the validity of the good reviews now, I got fried rice and chow mein which cannot be screwed up.. But they tried really hard to mess this up and they succeeded.. I generally don't write reviews, but this one deserves 1 star.

Visiting Wisconsin Dells I didn't expect to find great Chinese food compared to the east or west. From the outside the restaurant looks average like the American-Chinese take out places, but I was wrong. Service was fast and food was great, the waiter was nice dude compared to the ones in NYC giving us great recommendation and specials, I'm glad we tried Black pepper sizzling platter it was fresh and hot, we also ordered Asparagus Sizzling platter and salt&pepper Calamari, i thought black pepper sizzling was better but asparagus was really delicious... I wish we come with more people that way and i can order and try more of their dishes...

Food was great haven't had Chinese this good in years we only have buffets by us. Our food was delicious and hot and our drinks were good to. This place is a hidden gem in a historic Tommy Bartlett building. Next time I am here I will stop again or order take out.

Really friendly accommodating service. The recommendations by the server was really helpful. I enjoyed the food. Nice unique atmosphere.

  • Craig B.

Delivery arrived fast. We had the sizzling combo (beef, chicken, shrimp), chicken egg-fu yung, and heavenly chicken which was recommended by the person taking phone order and my favorite. We also had spring rolls, which were friend but still tasty.

Delicious Chinese Buffet! Hot, fresh, and everything tasted great. Lots of variety too, and a Salad Bar and Desserts. These reviews surprise me. I've eaten at many Chinese joints, and this was one of the best.

  • Erikam M.

We stopped by for the lunch buffet even after I read to my husband horrid reviews. He wont admit it but I was right. Prices were high and there were about ten choices. Pop is over two dollars and food is bland. Not worth it. Wont be back next year.

To begin, we walked in there and looked at the menu and the cool bar counter. The bar counter was sticky and seemed like it was not clean. Not a good start to the night. When we ordered our food, we wanted to substitute white rice for fried rice and the waiter said that was not allowed, that we'd have to buy a 8$ fried rice dish instead. So, they are not flexible with special orders. The waiter continued to mess up throughout the night. One of the times when the waiter messed up on the order, the owner (or manager) of the restaurant came over to try and fix the situation and then continued on to yell at the waiter right in front of our table. Take the drama to the kitchen!! Also, I ordered the chicken chow mein, and the chicken was gooey and rubbery with hardly any flavor. Perhaps this chicken was made with horse meat? Also, the kids ordered chicken strips and one of the kids held up the chicken strip and exclaimed "this is not a chicken strip, it is a nugget". I couldn't agree more, the chicken nuggets looked as if they were from McDonalds, and tasted like McD's nuggets. The fries were also not tasty. Why pay 5$ for a kids meal like that? This was absolutely a terrible experience and the food was definitely not satisfying.

Amazing staff, friendly welcome, great value and unique decor. No MSG...makes me happy!

  • Kaylanna H.

This was the most disgusting Chinese my boyfriend and I have both ever had. We ordered the general tsao's chicken and the sesame chicken. They were both flavorless and mushy. We also ordered a soda for $2.25, thinking it would be a 2 liter for that much since there was no size description - it was a 12 oz can. We both took one bite of our food and had to throw the rest of it away. The food was not even edible. What a disappointment and a waste of money.

    (1)
  • B B.

The food was very bland. No sweetness or spice. We had the chicken and broccoli and sesame chicken. After dinner we waited way to long for the bill to come. Waiter was at the bar talking with friends instead of checking on us. Won't be going back.

  • Marianne C.

Wonderful meal tonight...Sunny made suggestions based on our preferences and they were perfectly fit to our tastes! Can't wait to go there again!

My hubby loves this place. Everytime we drive thru here we have to stop for the best steamed dumplins!

    (5)
  • Dave S.

The best food we have eaten in the Dells by far. Interesting decor and friendly service. Everything we ordered was tasty. Will eat here again next time we are in town.

    (4)
  • Edwin M.

The food was avg. it's nothing special but I thought the place looked cool. I only like the general chicken other than that nothing else was good.

    (3)
  • Ron S.

Worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Food was deplorable, having minimal similarity with any I have ever had. But worst was that the waitresses admitted they could not tell one dish from another. And did not know Szechuan from Cantonese or any other variation. Incredible! The only savings grace was they refilled drinks frequently.

  • Elmira A.

Best Chinese food! Owers are wonderful. I feel good here. Need to come and party here too.

    (4)
  • Yang J.

The Chinese food served here was not really Chinese, it was more Americanized in a way that neither western nor eastern style. The manager is friendly but a restaurant should stand on its food quality. Probably it is a good "Chinese" restaurant to other reviewers, but as a Chinese I disapprove such message.

    (1)
  • Jody R.

Food arrived quickly and piping hot right to our room at Wilderness on the Lake. Even though the food taste was only average for a Chinese restaurant we would order from Dynasty again anytime since average food in the Dells is the norm.

    (3)
  • Kate J.

The food was not very good at all. We had the buffet for 2 adults and 3 kids at lunch. It was $52 with drinks. There wasn't a whole lot on the buffet 2 or 3 kinds of meat (2 looked very suspicious). There was corn, chicken nuggets, French fries, and lots of fruit. The employees forgot one of our kids drinks. He then tried to charge us again for it. The owner (I think) had a fit that we wanted a booth even though the place was almost empty. There are a lot better restaurants in Wisconsin Dells.

    (1)
  • Kris L.

Food was delivered hot and fast to our hotel room. I would definitely order from here if staying in the Dells again.

    (4)
  • Aurora F.

I was going to give this 4 stars, but couldnt decide why its didnt deserve a 5, so here goes. Found the food tasty and fresh. Ordered a shrimp dish and the pieces were larger and more than expected. Food was hot and delivered timely. Service was attentive. Would definately go back again. For the record, we were then on a weekday evening, and disappointed they were not serving the buffet. And we did not pay before we were served. Seems the lunch meal is the buffet. Hope others have the same positive experience and report it here so when we return to the Dellsnext time, they are still in business given how new this place is.

  • Lupe G.

My husband loves Chinese buffets. This by far is one of his favorites. He like it so much he wanted to go back the next day. I am sure we will be visiting this restaurant every time we are in the dells. Although, this may not be a big buffet quality exceeds quantity this time around.

    (4)
  • Free I.

Went here because I saw the review "best of the Dells 2012". So disappointed. We visited just after lunch time, mid week. Not busy at all. Servers were RUNNING. Water spilled on my companion not once but twice. I was spilled on also. We were seated, served water and someone took our order. Orange chicken came first. By itself. Then ten minutes later the rice. Several minutes later the appetizer and finally the other entrees. When we were clearly finished we waited and waited and finally flagged someone down for boxes. We were brought one, small, box. We had a large quantity of leftovers and needed four in the end to take it home and left some behind! After boxing our food we waited. And waited. And finally had to ask for our bill. I don't understand how with an abundance of employees, and track stars at that, how we waited around so long. Maybe the buffet is better at lunch. No waiting. Don't know if I would venture back to find out.

New restaurant but really good chinese quality food. Was definitely needed in the Dells!

Authentic Chinese food. Fairly priced. The building looked to be part of the Science Exploratory next door...

    (3)
  • Troy H.

Im a local and have eaten here twice. Once off the menu and once off the buffet. I didn't think it could be that bad twice but I was wrong it was actually worse the second time. The food was flavorless and overcookewd, tasted like it came out of the bag. Chinese food is one of my favorites and Ive had it many places but I've never tasted anything this bad.stay far far away

    (1)
  • Disco X.

This place is OK when you're sick of burgers and fries, which in the Dells takes about two days. Don't expect gourmet anything; the food is not special. I think a lot of it is probably canned or frozen, not made fresh.

    (2)
  • Charles H.

Buffet food was bad and obviously store bought. The rice seemed as if it was a day old. Service is strangely excessive. With multiple servers asking you the same questions repeatedly.

    (1)
  • Ekho O.

What an excellent restaurant. The service was the best I've seen in a VERY long time. Food was served quickly and hot, our drinks were refilled the second they were set back down on the table. They even wiped my kids' faces when we were done eating, haha.

    (5)
  • Charlene H.

If I could I would give this place a negative star. Cost too much for the lack of food offerings, food was cold and not very fresh. Plus they made us get the buffet, no option for ordering off the menu. Would not go back!

    (1)
  • Linda B.

Tried this place for the first time this past Friday night. Very attentive, food was tasty, liked the look; wish this restaurant well!

Awful! Wouldn't allow us to order off the menu forced us to get the buffet also made us pay before we even sat down...not satisfied at all..very limited buffet...food was not fresh...would NOT recommend

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
